The route
Zerbion Bike Trail explores the high altitude scenery of three municipalities from Promiod in Châtillon to Col di Joux in Saint-Vincent as far as the open landscapes of Emarèse along a suggestive natural balcony that overlooks the central valley.

In all, the route covers about 48 km of footpaths, dirt roads and forest tracks, following irrigation channels typically found in this region known as rü, and connects the higher landscapes to villages nestling in the lowland areas of Saint-Vincent and Châtillon. Now and again it traverses conifer woods, Alpine pastures and terraced slopes, leading to villages, homesteads, unspoilt nature and remnants of a bygone world that slowly merges into the built-up area.
Signage
The route is marked by coloured-coded signposts, plaques and marker stones according to level of difficulty starting from green [easy], blue [intermediate], and red [difficult, for expert cyclists] and black [very challenging].
